The 'Pays de Retz' is the most southerly region of historic Brittany. Come and discover all the footpaths that wind their way along the coast, as well as the woodlands and country lanes that are ideal for cycling inland, and discover the region's churches, chapels, museums  and the Pays de Retz museum.

Also discover the town of Nantes, its port, the castle of the Dukes of Brittany, the cathedral, and the world famous 'machines de l’île' – a collection of fantastic machine-like sculptures.

North of the estuary is Saint-Nazaire and its naval base, the Brière region and the salt marshes of Guérande, where you can take some interesting and unusual day trips.

And if you like historic and epic attractions, you should definitely visit Le Puy du Fou located 1 hour's drive from our campsite.

Try out the watersports and leisure activities available on the coast, or relax and enjoy an evening meal seasoned with sea salt at an unusual gourmet stopover ! And for instant relaxation, take a stroll or bike ride beside the Loire or the Nantes-Brest Canal.

THE LOIRE BY BIKE: 800 km to discover!

The 'Loire by Bike' route crosses the regions of Centre and Pays de la Loire.

From Cuffy in the Cher to Saint-Brévin-les-Pins in Loire-Atlantique, the 'Loire by Bike' route is being rolled out section by section.

Today, more than 700 km of the route has been marked out,  of the 800 km which will soon be offered as the 'Loire by Bike' itinerary.
